[Football] Witzansky Named to National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society List

IRVING, Texas – Friends University senior long snapper Zachary Witzansky (SR/Sapulpa, Okla. ) has earned a spot on the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society list, the organization announced today (Apr. 15)."Zach has been an incredible example of what a student-athlete should be here at Friends University," head football coach Dion Meneley said."He was an extremely valuable member of our special teams units and is always looking for ways to help out his teammates. Zach will be exceptional at whatever he decides to do after graduation and I couldn't be prouder of this honor he has earned."To be eligible for this prestigious award, the football student-athlete must meet the following criteria:•             Completed their final year of playing eligibility in 2019; Graduated players, who have remaining eligibility but will not return to collegiate play (e.g. declared for NFL Draft or retired from football), may also be nominated.•             Achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average throughout entire course of undergraduate study; and•             Met all NCAA- or NAIA-mandated progress toward degree requirements.•             Been starters or significant contributors throughout the 2018 season.For the official release from the National Football Foundation, click HERE.
