[Football] SXU Upsets No. 13 Saint Francis, 38-0, on Homecoming

CHICAGO – The Saint Xavier defense forced three turnovers and had 6.0 sacks and limited No 13 University of Saint Francis (Ind.) to just 251 yards of total offense as the Saint Xavier University football team (2-1, 0-0 MSFA) pitched a shutout, 38-0, Saturday afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in a Mid-States Football Association crossover action. It was the first time since November 17, 2012 that the Cougars shutout an NAIA Top 25 opponent, when they defeated No. 13 William Penn University, 31-0, in the First Round of the NAIA Football Championship Series.
