[Football] Four From SXU Football Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

CHICAGO – Senior linebacker Joey Markasovic (New Lenox, Ill./Providence Catholic), junior kicker Peyton Benes (Tinley Park, Ill./Andrew), junior linebacker Finn Brandon (Dixon, Ill./Dixon) and junior quarterback Stuart Ross (Springfield, Ill./Springfield Southeast) from the No. 11 ranked Saint Xavier University football team (9-3, 7-0 MSFA Midwest) were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Football Team when the awards were announced Tuesday afternoon. To qualify, a student-athlete must have a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
