[Football] SXU Football Stays Busy with Community Service; Starts Spring Practice

CHICAGO – As usual, it has been a pretty busy spring for the Saint Xavier University football team.  In addition to their typical schedule of offseason workouts and practice sessions, the Cougars have also found the time to help out around campus and the Southside Community.  Last week, team members volunteered their services for several on campus and external organization initiatives which included: Lake Katherine Nature Center Restoration, Port Ministries Bread Truck, BRIDGES Easter Card Making, Cards for LaRabida Children's Hospital, Greater Chicago Food Depository and SXU's own campus clean-up.  In addition, several Cougars joined community members on Wednesday to load more than 600 boxes of donated items for the people of Ukraine which was covered by every major Chicago TV station.
