[Football] Saint Xavier falls in non-conference road game at Roosevelt, 34-17

Arlington Heights, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University football (1-1, 0-0 MSFA) lost to Roosevelt University (Ill.) Sunday afternoon, 34-17, at Morris Field in Arlington Heights, Ill. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, but was pushed back after a snow storm cancelled a Tuesday game for both teams. The Cougars were led by junior running back Vance McShane (Freeport, Ill./Western Illinois/Freeport), who racked up 239 all-purpose yards: four kick returns for 91 yards, 86 yards receiving on seven catches and 62 yards rushing on 16 carries. He had a 53-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter.
