CHICAGO – Freshman running back Amari Venerable capped a 16 play, 95 yard drive with a one-yard touchdown run with just 51 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to give No. 14 Saint Xavier University football (4-1, 2-0 MSFA) a thrilling 17-14 victory over Missouri Baptist University in Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League contest Saturday evening at Deaton Field in Chicago. MBU had a chance to tie the game, but the 52-yard field goal attempt fell short.
