[Football] No. 11 SXU Tripped up by UIndy, 57-0, in Season Opener

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 11 ranked Saint Xavier University football team (0-1, 0-0 MSFA Midwest) started the 2022 season on the wrong foot, falling 57-0 to NCAA D-II University of Indianapolis (Ind.) Saturday evening at Key Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind. in the season opener for both programs. Senior wide receiver Justin Pringle (Romeoville, Ill./Plainfield East) collected 116 all-purpose yards for the Cougars (53 kick return yards, 53 receiving yards and 10 rushing yards) and had one punt for 36 yards. Junior defensive back Ron Carroll (University Park, Ill./Crete-Monee) led the SXU defense with seven tackles (five solos) and had a tackle for loss for three yards.
