[Football] McShane reaches milestone in 31-21 win for No. 14 SXU over Lawrence Tech

CHICAGO – Junior running back Vance McShane (Freeport, Ill./Western Illinois/Freeport) had quite the morning/early afternoon as he ran for 155 yards on 23 carries, tied the program record for rushing touchdowns in a game with three and became just the third player in program history to rush for over 2,000 career yards to lead No. 14 Saint Xavier University football (3-1, 1-0 MSFA) a 31-21 victory over Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) Saturday morning/afternoon at Deaton Field in Chicago. McShane joins former standouts Nick Pesek (2010-13), the all-time leader with 2,886 yards, and Mike Ivlow (2014-17), who had 2,335 yards, in the exclusive club. It was the 16th time that a player ran for three scores in a game, with McShane being the last to do so on November 9, 2019 at Olivet Nazarene University (Ill.).
