[Football] Defense Propels No. 21 SXU to 62-7 win over Trinity International

CHICAGO – The defense for No. 21 Saint Xavier University football (5-2, 3-1 MSFA) led the charge; scoring three touchdowns, holding Trinity International University (Ill.) to just 141 total yards and limiting the Trojans to -25 yards rushing in a 62-7 victory afternoon at Bruce R. Deaton Memorial Field in Mid-States Football Association Midwest League action. Senior defensive back Steven Meyer (New Lenox, Ill./Providence Catholic) had a pick-six brought back for 50 yards, sophomore defensive lineman Juabarey Anderson (Country Club Hills, Ill./Hillcrest) had a scoop-and-score returned 46 yards and junior linebacker Peyton Nigro (Mokena, Ill./Concordia-St. Paul/Lincoln-Way Central) had a pick-six returned for 23 yards, just 21 seconds after Anderson's score.
