[Football] Carroll Earns MSFA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week

CHICAGO – Junior defensive back Ron Carroll (University Park, Ill./Crete-Monee) was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week for the No. 15 Saint Xavier University football team (6-2, 4-0 MSFA Midwest) when the awards were announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Carroll finished with six tackles (two solos), two interceptions returned for a touchdown and a pass breakup in a 35-6 win for the Cougars over Trinity International University (Ill.), for his first career Defensive Player of the Week award.
