WEEKLY PREVIEW: SCSU Men's Soccer Hosts NE10 Semifinals, Men's and Women's Basketball Open Season At Home

IT'S PLAYOFF TIME!!! Men's soccer kicks off all the action for Southern Connecticut this week when it hosts Southern New Hampshire for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship Semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field. The Owls upset No. 3 Adelphi, while SNHU beat No. 2 Bentley, to set-up the matchup between the long-time rivals in New Haven.

As if that wasn't exciting enough, this weekend also signals the start of the 2023-24 college basketball season. The men's basketball program hosts University of the District of Columbia on Friday, Nov. 11 at 3 p.m. at James Moore Field House while the women's program will host the four-team SCSU Tip-Off Classic featuring Saint Anselm, Mercy and Georgian Court. The Owls face Georgian Court on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. and Mercy on Sunday, Nov. 12 at 3:30 p.m.

Volleyball and football will also wrap-up their seasons this weekend. Volleyball be at home against Saint Michael's on Friday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. and Saint Anselm on Friday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m. at Pelz Gymnasium. Football will close the season on the road at Assumption on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1 p.m.
