Warriors Drop Senior Day Matchup to Gannon, 13-10

On Senior Day at Eiler-Martin Stadium, the East Stroudsburg University football could not find its offense in the second, falling to Gannon, 13-10, on Saturday.

The Warriors and Golden Knights close their seasons with a 5-6 record.

Leading 10-3 at halftime, Gannon would tie the contest up late in the third quarter and took the lead with 8:24 left in the fourth quarter on a 27-yard field goal. The Warriors would attempt tie the game with 2:56 remaining on a 52-yd field goal, but it would be blocked. Gannon would run out clock on the final possession of the game to take home the 13-10 victory.

Before the game, the ESU athletic department honored seniors David Akinwande, Kutory Alexander, Andre Eldridge, Carter Forney, Bo Heshler, Davino Frazer, Anthony Marrone and Teddy Mitchell for their contributions to the football game and university.

Tailback Gunner Anglovich rushed for 121 yards on 27 carries to lead the ESU offense. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry in his fourth 100-yd rushing game of the season.
