Glenn ‘05 Named Washington Commanders Assistant Special Teams Coach

LOUDON COUNTY, Va. – Earlier this week, the Washington Commanders announced that East Stroudsburg University football alumnus John Glenn '05 was named an assistant special teams coach.

Glenn spent the past 12 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks organization, most recently serving as the linebackers coach. During his tenure in the Emerald City, he spent time as a coaching and special teams assistant, defensive quality control coach and defensive assistant.

While at Seattle, Glenn helped guide the Seahawks to a win in Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 as an assistant special teams coach, joining Pat Flaherty '78 as ESU alumni to win a Super Bowl.

Glenn, a three-year letterwinner at linebacker and a starter on the Warriors' 2004 and 2005 NCAA playoff teams under head coach Denny Douds. He completes Dan Quinn's first coaching staff as head coach of Washington in 2024.
