Role Reversal

David Akinwande, a junior majoring in nursing from Bristol, Pa. and a member of the East Stroudsburg University football team, had a unique opportunity to administer a COVID-19 vaccine to one of ESU's athletic trainers, Jayme Galdieri, last month. Akinwande (left) is participating in a clinical at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono as part of his academic program at ESU. Galdieri is one of three full-time athletic trainers who work with the Warriors' 625 student-athletes. March is National Athletic Training Month to spread awareness about the important work of athletic trainers.
