Horne, Surgeon and Thomas haul in major awards; 11 Bulldogs earn league honors

Rock Hill, S.C.—-The South Atlantic Conference announced the regular season award winners Thursday morning, and #22 Wingate University piled up the hardware. Evan Surgeon is the winner of the SAC Jacobs Blocking Trophy, going to the top offensive lineman in the conference. DJ Horne has been named the Piedmont Division Defensive Player of the Year, while Jordon Thomas is the Piedmont Division Defensive Freshman of the Year. In total, 11 Bulldogs earned All-SAC accolades.
