Football's Jalen Jones named MEC Defensive Player of the Week

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — West Virginia State University's Jalen Jones was named the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Defensive Player of the Week for the sport of football when the award recipients were announced on Monday afternoon. Jones is a junior defensive back from Dunbar, W.Va. that showed up in a big way last Saturday when the Yellow Jackets defeated West Liberty, 33-28, on the road.
