Football: Seven Scots Receive MIAC Honors

Seven members of the Macalester College football team were recognized by the MIAC as the conference announced its year-end awards for football today. Senior receiver Rex Desso (Evergreen, Colo./Lakewood) was the lone Scot on the All-MIAC first team, while junior quarterback Michael Nadeau (Garden Grove, Calif./La Quinta) and senior defensive lineman John Newton (Highland Village, Texas/Coram Deo Academy) made the All-MIAC second team. Senior kicker/punter Jon Neve (Minnetrista, Minn./Mound Westonka), senior receiver Ty Bruckner (Wichita, Kan./Wichita North) and sophomore linebacker Noah Bresson (Homosassa, Fla./Crystal River) received All-MIAC honorable mention, with senior offensive lineman Jacob Bulling (Albuquerque, N.M./Volcano Vista) representing Macalester on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
