ESU Football Returns to the Gridiron

After a hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the East Stroudsburg University football team has returned to the gridiron for spring ball. The Warriors, who are following strict COVID-19 protocols, began team practices on Mon., March 29.

"It's a million dollar day in the Poconos," said ESU football head coach Jimmy Terwilliger. "It seems fitting to say 'we are back', however, with the work ethic of this team over the past year, I don't think we ever left. We have just used different platforms to 'advance the X'. I am thrilled for our players and staff to have the opportunity to pursue their passion on the field. It has been a long offseason, filled with many obstacles. However, I'm moved by their relentless pursuit of excellence."

The Warriors will continue to practice throughout the month of April, culminating in the Red and Black game on Sat., April 24 at 6:00 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium. Admission will be limited to the governor's guidelines for outdoor events at that time. Fans will be required to stay masked and socially distant. Stay tuned to the ESU Athletics Spectator Policy for the latest updates.
