AWARD | #ETBU Leads ASC With Five Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Award Winners

MARSHALL, Texas – Academics are a major part of being a student-athlete at East Texas Baptist University and for the 2020-21 athletic year they led the way in the American Southwest Conference. ETBU produced five ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete award winners voted on by the sports information directors. Taking home the awards were ETBU cross country and track and field athlete, Mack Broussard (both sports), men's golfer Hank Crain, softball player Hannah Garcia, and women's soccer player Raegan Kappler (co-recipient).  ETBU has now recorded 15 ASC Distinguished Scholar-Athlete award winners in the last five years and 24 overall since 2009.
