WSC football opens 2023 campaign Thursday night hosting MSU Moorhead

The Wayne State College football team opens the 2023 campaign at home Thursday evening hosting MSU Moorhead at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne with kickoff set for 6 p.m. The 'Cats were picked third in this year's NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll after going 9-3 last season, winning the schools' first-ever NSIC regular season title while advancing to the NCAA Division II playoffs for the second time in school history.  MSUM was picked 10th after records of 4-7 last season and 3-3 in the NSIC North Division.
