Wildcats play first non-conference game in over a decade Saturday night at Missouri S&T
Wayne State plays a non-conference game for the first time since 2011 Saturday night when the Wildcats visit Missouri S&T in a 6 p.m. contest. The 'Cats are 2-1 following a 49-10 win over Southwest Minnesota State last week while the 0-3 Miners lost at Upper Iowa by a 38-26 score. Missouri S&T holds a 2-1-1 series advantage against Wayne State. In the last meeting played in 2006 at Wayne the Wildcats registered a 14-9 non-conference win over then Missouri-Rolla. The last trip for WSC to Rolla came in the 2005 season with the Miners edging the 'Cats 22-21. Three of the four meetings have been decided by five points or less with one tie.
