Welch Named Preseason Player Of The Year, Bulldogs Picked Second In SoCon Preseason Poll

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Samford senior quarterback Liam Welch was named the Southern Conference's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, and the Bulldogs were picked second in a poll voted on by the league's head coaches. The preseason polls and All-SoCon teams were released at the SoCon's Annual Football Media Day, held Monday at the Biltmore Estates.
