WEEKLY REPORT: Football's Merritt calls audible, begins coaching career

Senior Devin Merritt would be lacing up his cleats, strapping on his pads and buckling up his chin strap on his way out to an Averett University football practice this fall. However, with all that is going on in collegiate athletics and with the USA South Athletic Conference postponing the 2020 football season to spring 2021, what would have been a day of participating in drills with his teammates has turned into a day of running drills for his teammates.
