Washington Talks About Trying to Get A Senior-Day Win

North Carolina A&T Head Coach Sam Washington Opening Statement: "Good afternoon everyone. Good to be here, after a win in particular. South Carolina State is a very tough opponent. They always play us extremely tough. They're well-coached. I think coach Pough does a very good job. Defensively, they are active, big, strong, and fast, and it was a very tough win. However, I thought we played well in certain situations. The statistics don't agree with that. We say we believe in stopping the run, and I think they rushed for 190 yards. We had some gap control issues that they took advantage of. Protecting the football, I thought we did a very good job with that. Win the kicking game. The kicking game was up and down this week. I wasn't quite pleased with the results. We had a punt blocked for a touchdown, and that's something that normally would not happen. It was a mental breakdown, and that will be corrected."
