Vikings sign cornerback Melvin White to futures contract

White, undrafted in 2013 out of Louisiana-Lafayette, got into 30 games with the Carolina Panthers from 2013-14, starting 17. He spent last season on the St. Louis Rams practice squad. While with the Panthers in 2013, one of White’s teammates was cornerback Captain Munnerlyn, who has spent the past two seasons with Minnesota.
