Upper Iowa Defeats Minot State Fueled by 20-Point Second Quarter

Upper Iowa's football team powered their way to a convincing 33-22 win at home over Minot State University behind a balanced offensive attack and an interception return for a touchdown. The Peacocks scored four touchdowns on offense including two on the ground and two through the air. After allowing a field goal to the Beavers in the first quarter, UIU never trailed following their first touchdown in the second quarter. The win was Upper Iowa's first of the season, while MiSU dropped to 0-8.
