Two Women's Basketball Players Take Home MSC All-Conference Honors Along With A Program First

Bowling Green, KY – Going into their first matchup of the MSC tournament, the #24 Patriots women's basketball team was able to have two players achieve MSC All-Conference honors that conference officials announced on Friday. After both had standout years on the court for the Patriots, Silvia Veloso and Vilma Covane were the ones able to take home the MSC All-Conference honors. Veloso was voted to the MSC First Team All-Conference and V. Covane was voted to MSC Second Team All-Conference. Veloso, who was a dual-threat on the court for the Patriots this season, also snagged Defensive Player of the Year for the MSC, and is now the first Patriot in the women's programs history to take home the award.
