Three AMU Football Players Win SUN Awards

AVE MARIA, Fla.- Three Ave Maria University football players earned individual awards from The Sun Conference, as announced by the league office Saturday afternoon. Junior Roman Newkirk was named the league's Special Teams Player of the Year, redshirt freshman quarterback Andrew Lege was honored as the Freshman of the Year, and graduate student quarterback Kristian Marks earned The Sun Conference's Champion of Character award.
