The fifth-ranked Thunder football team tops Northwestern (Minn.) 56-0 in its season opener

Wheaton, Ill. – The Wheaton football team, ranked fifth in the D3football.com Top-25 Preseason Poll, opened its season on Saturday afternoon with a 56-0 victory at home against University of Northwestern (Minn.). Wheaton is off next Saturday and returns to action on September 18 when it hosts the "Battle for the Little Brass Bell" against No. 3 North Central.
