Rob Pate was first recruited to play college football as a second grader. That's right, the future Auburn Safety and Linebacker received his first recuring letter from Alabama's Bill Curry in the second grade. During his time at Auburn, he played for two different coaching regimes. An All SEC Safety as a sophomore, he moved to a hybrid linebacker when Tommy Tuberville took over.
