Swafford, Potts earn Big South-OVC player of the week honors

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Aaron Swafford set it up and Jordyn Potts knocked them down as they helped lead Tennessee Tech to its first shutout since 2013, fourth shutout since 2000 as well as the first shutout in the series against Tennessee State with the 35-0 victory on Saturday in Nissan Stadium.

For their efforts, Swafford was named the Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Football Association’s Defensive Player of the Week, while Potts was the league’s Freshman of the Week, as voted on by the combined sports information contacts.
