Six Cougars earn VaSID Academic All-State accolades

Six student-athletes from Averett University were named to the 2022-23 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State Team, the organization announced Wednesday. Wrestling graduate student Alex Turley, women's lacrosse graduate student Elizabeth Peasley, women's volleyball senior Sarah Marlowe, women's soccer senior Katri Kakko, football junior Matthew Isom and men's tennis junior Philipp Bohnenkamp were the six selections representing Averett.
