Russ-Martin Clutches Season’s Final PFL Defensive Player of the Week Award

CLINTON, S.C. – A pitch-perfect ending to a junior campaign that kept getting better and better, safety Brooks Russ-Martin of the Presbyterian College football team was chosen as the Pioneer Football League Defensive Player of the Week on Sunday evening.

The Blue Hose's 31-27 season-closing triumph over Morehead State was crammed to the brim with highlights from Russ-Martin, a native of Travelers Rest, South Carolina who started all 11 contests for head coach Steve Englehart's roster throughout his second fall as the program's ring leader.
