Richard McCollum Named a Finalist for the Fred Mitchell Award

Cullowhee, N.C. – Western Carolina graduate placekicker Richard McCollum was today named one of the 10 national finalists for the 2023 Fred Mitchell Award which is given annually to the top placekicker in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and NJCAA levels for excellence both on the field and in the community.
