Rice Named D2Football.com Defensive Player of the Week

After a stellar performance in the final game of the 2023 season, West Liberty University's redshirt sophomore defensive lineman, Cam Rice, has been named the National Defensive Player of the Week by D2Football.com on Monday afternoon. This marks the first time of his career that Rice has earned national recognition, and is the second consecutive year that a Hilltopper has collected national defensive player of the week honors after Shon Stephens claimed it once last season.
