Panthers trade for speedy wide receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette in swap with Chiefs

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Panthers have made a trade with the defending Super Bowl champions ahead of Tuesday’s cut deadline. Carolina and Kansas City will swap conditional 2025 seventh-round picks in a trade that will send wide receiver/returner Ihmir Smith-Marsette from the Chiefs to the Panthers. Smith-Marsette, who turned 24 on Tuesday, was a member of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LVII team last season.
