On this Veterans Day 2020, sharing two Blue Devil veterans' stories

On this Veteran's Day, 2020, we salute all veterans across the entire country and we pulled out a couple of stories about a few Blue Devil student-athletes who served during World War II. Bill Andrews came to Stout in 1939 and enlisted in 1942, served during the war and returned to Stout, played one more year of football and earned his degree, going on to a teaching career. Robert Hassemer enrolled at Stout in 1938, was a member of the football and earned his degree. He enlisted in the US Navy, but paid the ultimate price when he died in January, 1945, while serving in the Phillipines.
