ON THIS DATE: SEPT. 3, 2011 – Peacock Football Celebrates New Turf Field with Victory over Lions

Nine years ago, the Peacock football team opened their season at home. The game marked the first on the new turf field, as well as the final opener prior to the transformation of the stadium to its current state. Upper Iowa avenged a 2010 loss (33-10) at Texas A&M University at Commerce with a 15-14 victory.
