Murphy wrong to put bears in the cross-hairs | Letters

It is absolutely ridiculous that Gov. Phil Murphy is going back on his campaign promise by agreeing to reinstate the state’s bear hunt this year, with no scientific reasoning and against the wishes of the majority of residents. Rescinding his 2018 Executive Order that banned bear hunting on state lands would not only put our black bear population at risk, but encourage dangerous and unsportsmanlike behavior.
