Memphis Athletics to Honor the School’s First African-American Student-Athletes

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In a yearlong celebration of Trailblazers at the University of Memphis, the athletics department will honor a selection of the first African-American student-athletes to compete for the Tigers in each sport at halftime of the football season opener Saturday against Bethune-Cookman. Kickoff for the "901 Game" is set for 6 p.m.
