Late Game Heroics Lead to Hilltopper Win Over Concord

The West Liberty University football team secured their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Concord 23-21 at Callaghan Stadium. The Hilltoppers ate up 14 minutes of possession on their first two drives of the game to jump out to an early 14-0 lead and held the advantage until 1:57 left in game when the Mountain Lions took the lead on a 33 yard touchdown run. WLU kept their composure and drove down the field to set up a ten yard touchdown pass from Rudy Garcia to Rashawn Harvey on the final play of the game that clinched the win.
