Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Placed On Injured Reserve

By Daniel Bates An already thin wide receiving core just got thinner on Saturday. Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Kansas City Chiefs placed Mecole Hardman on injured reserve with a thumb injury. The team had already ruled him out for Week 12's game vs. the division rival Raiders and coach Andy Reid hinted yesterday that the injury would likely sideline Hardman for a while. Hardman has caught eight passes for 41 yards since returning to the Chiefs via trade last month. He reportedly sprained his thumb in Monday night's Super Bowl rematch with the Eagles.
