Kansas City Chiefs receiver John Ross, a former first-round NFL Draft pick, retires

The Chiefs have placed wide receiver John Ross on the reserve/retired list, according to Wednesday’s NFL transaction wire. Ross, a former first-round draft pick, signed a futures/reserve contract with the Chiefs in January. He last played for the New York Giants in 2021. Ross was the ninth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, selected by the Cincinnati Bengals after an All-America career at Washington.
