Jalen Shaffer named CCIW Football Student-Athlete of the Week on defense

Wheaton, Ill. –  Jalen Shaffer, a senior on the Thunder football team, have has been named a CCIW Student-Athlete of the Week on defense. Shaffer earned the recognition for his effort in last Saturday's 56-0 victory against Elmhurst. This is the first career player of the week award for Shaffer from the CCIW. He is the fourth Wheaton player to earn the weekly award from the CCIW this season joining: Will Bowers (offense on Sept. 19); Riley Schwartz (defense on Sept. 26) and Giovanni Weeks (offense on Sept. 26).
