Huntingdon beats Averett to remain unbeaten in USA South

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon football team faced its toughest conference test of the season but emerged with a 41-35 win over Averett University on Saturday.

Both teams entered the game unbeaten in conference play and the outcome wasn’t decided until the final minutes. Huntingdon defensive backs Peyton DeFleron and Fred Flavors helped seal the victory with two interceptions in the final three minutes of the game.
