Hranicka Making a Crucial Contribution

As a fullback, Ty Hranicka has always been the type of player to just do his job — without the benefit of the spotlight that comes with playing other positions. He hasn't averaged a lot of carries or caught a lot of passes. He does much of his best work on the playing field to get others in position to be successful – providing a critical block to spring a run play, making a crucial tackle on special teams or providing an extra second in pass protection that allows the quarterback to find a target.

So, it comes as no surprise that Hranicka, a senior Economics major from Mendham, N.J., carries that helping mentality within a team into other realms of his life.
