GVSU Football Ranked #3 In Versus Final Poll And #5 By D2Football.Com

The final Division II football rankings have been released and the Grand Valley State football program closed the 2021 campaign ranked third in the Versus D2 Power Rankings and fifth in the final D2Football.com poll. GVSU closed the season with a 10-2 mark and advanced to the NCAA D2 football playoffs for the 20th time in program history, including advancement to the round of 16 for the 14th time. The Lakers played six games against teams that finished among the top 24 teams in the country in the Versus Power Rankings.
