GLVC Names Smith Defensive Player of the Week

Indianapolis, Ind. – For the third time this season, Coleton Smith has been named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week. Just as he has all season, Smith was all over the field Saturday afternoon against Truman State. In the team's 27-21 upset over the Bulldogs, Smith collected 21 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 1 sack, and 2 pass breakups. His 21 tackles in a single game is his career high and the 3rd most in SBU history. Both of his pass breakups came on Truman's final drive, including 4th down, to seal victory. Smith leads all of NCAA DII players in tackles, recording 105 so far this season.
