Fullback Jacob Garrett named Academic All-American

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois fullback Jacob Garrett was named to the 2022 Academic All-America second-team on Tuesday by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). He becomes the 14th player in program history to earn the organization's prestigious Academic All-America status and the first since center Jacob Marnin in 2019.
