[Football] Steers First Rodeo 2021

         The Texas College Steers Football team traveled to Canyon, Texas to take on West Texas A&M  Buffalos.  The goal for west Texas was to pound the rock also know as running the ball.  They felt if they plan to run alot it will open up the passing game.  From the begining the Buffalos stuck to the game plan with four carries Khalil Harris gain 93 yards and 2 touchdowns the plan was on and unanswered.  This open up the passing game as Nick Gerber went 8 of 8 for 89 yards to close the first quarter.  The second quarter went the same as the first with a two headed mosterous run game.  Jarrod Compton finished the half with 95 yards and Harris end the half with a total  111 yards.  The Steers had some moments of thier own with the speed and vision of Senior Diamond Woods, the never give mentality of Jerry McConico Jr. and  the deffensive play of Dominic Stokes, willing to put his body on the line.  Texas College can use this game for the learning process.   The final score was 73 West Texas A&M to 0 Texas.
